Everything you need to know about Prentora

What makes Prentora different

On Prentora, every course is hand-selected. Whether it's illustration, animation, graphic design, or music production, we only publish what's worth our students' time and money. When someone buys a course, they get lifetime access. No subscriptions, no expiring content.

Every Prentora course teaches a complete professional workflow, from brief to finished work. You show the steps and how you think through each one. Our students are serious learners: emerging professionals, working creatives, committed hobbyists. They come back to a course as a working reference while they practise.

You create your course once, in your own language. We translate it into multiple languages with high-quality subtitles, on-screen annotations and dubbed audio, so your work reaches students around the world.

Designed to bridge the gap between watching and learning

Anders Ericsson spent his career studying how chess masters, musicians, and surgeons reach world-class performance. What he found is that experts don't just know more, they see more. A grandmaster looks at a board and perceives structure a club player can't see. A producer hears a thin mix in seconds. Ericsson called this a mental representation, the internal model that lets an expert catch their own mistakes as they make them. It's the actual product of an apprenticeship, and it's what your students don't have yet.

Watching an expert at work is how students start to build one. It's necessary, but on its own it's not enough. A mental representation isn't a list of steps, so a course that only shows the steps won't transfer one. What does is the thinking around the work. The hesitations, the rejected options, the moment you realise the brief is wrong. That's the part students can never see in a finished portfolio, and it's what turns watching into learning.

Even watching closely is still only the start. Skill builds when students try the work themselves, and it builds fastest when they can look at their own attempt and see where it fell short. That second part is what most instructional videos miss. They focus on showing what someone does, when they should also be setting up real exercises and teaching students the questions to ask of their own work.

Every Prentora course is designed around that loop. Exercises that match the real task, a final project that takes students end to end, and built-in ways for students to see what worked in their attempt, what didn't, and why. We want courses to teach students how to build a skill and how to keep growing it on their own.

Why teach on Prentora

Earn for the life of your course

You earn 70% of net revenue on every sale, rising to 85% on referrals. Every sale earns for you for as long as the course stays on Prentora. Payouts are monthly.

You set the price

On Prentora, the price you set is what students pay. Stable pricing protects the value of your course. Permanent discounting on other platforms teaches students that no course is worth its list price.

You keep full ownership

Our agreement is non-exclusive, so you can publish the same course on other platforms too. After launch you stay in control. Update it, leave it, or take it down when you want.

Reach students worldwide

Record your course once, in your own language. We translate and dub it into multiple languages, with high-quality subtitles, on-screen annotations, and dubbed audio.

We protect human creativity

Prentora exists to help people develop real creative skills through human instruction. We don't promote generative AI as a substitute for artistic craft.

We handle the logistics

We take care of hosting, streaming, payments, and platform-wide advertising, so you can focus on teaching. We also give feedback and guidance as you build your course.

What makes a great course

You don't need a studio. Clear video, good audio, and well-structured content are what matter. Show your full creative process, explain your decisions, and give students real projects they can learn from. We review every course before it goes live, and we work with you to get it right.

What makes a Prentora course work is how closely it reflects your particular expertise. Think about your own practice and where you've developed something distinctive. It might be a workflow you've refined over years, a niche you've gone deep on, or a particular way you combine skills that nobody else puts together quite the same way. A course built around that is one we'd love to see on the platform.
